What defines our treatments over others:
Dr.Wang practices Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture primarily based on the classical style which emphasizes the palpation techniques of the practitioner over what the patient may or may not tell the practitioner. This means:
- emphasis on pulse diagnosis and meridian diagnosis
- not asking too many questions
- identifying the root of the problem despite whatever symptoms there may or may not be
- treating the root based on pulse and meridian imbalance findings
Acupuncture Therapy:
Acupuncture involves insertion of specialized fine, sterile, single-use needles into "Acupoints" around various areas of the body. It increases blood flow, reduces inflammation, relaxes tension, stimulates the body to produce natural pain killers and healing factors, calms the nerves, among other beneficial physiological effects, thereby achieving overall balance throughout the body. Infra-red light may be used in conjunction as well.
Acupuncture is near painless because the needles are so thin that at least 10 acupuncture needles can fit into 1 syringe. Many patients don't even know when the needles are inserted or withdrawn.
Acupuncture is a highly effective thousands-year-old medical modality of Oriental origin that is used today commonly for multiple types of pain conditions and various systemic imbalances, either as a stand-alone therapy or in conjunction with Chinese herbal medicine.
We use many different types of Acupuncture techniques and protocols based on the patient's condition:
Herbal Medicine:
Chinese herbal medicine involves the application of medicinal herbal teas and powders whose ingredients are carefully thought out, designed and dispensed on-site based on what the clinical problem requires.
It is systematically formulated on a case-by-case basis to restore your inner homeostasis.
Chinese herbal medicine utilizes natural Oriental herbs and is highly effective for many types of diseases and conditions, no matter how simple or how complex. The effect of Chinese Medicine is not temporary like modern pharmaceuticals, but rather self-sustaining even after stopping the medicine. In other words, the goal of treatment is meant to end the treatment.
Dr.Wang personally sources and hand-picks all of his herbs to ensure authenticity and quality, at the same time personally prepares and dispenses all prescriptions.
